Alternate Reality Game (ARG) meets dynamic online series
In the late summer of 2006, Glenn Rubenstein launched OpAphid, an original video series and interactive Alternate Reality Game.
Not only did Rubenstein create the characters of OpAphid, Tachyon, and 10033, but he also wrote, produced, directed, edited, and composed the original music for all of the series videos.
Additionally, he designed all of its elaborate puzzles and means of audience interaction, including a half-dozen real-world "dead drops," where fans were able to participate in the story by traveling to different physical locations and recovering packages or other items left by the characters.
